It’s the season of blooming flowers and frequent showers!

April showers, brings May flowers.

Meteorological spring in the northern hemisphere refers to a three-month period used to define the season based on weather patterns and climatology. It begins on March 1st and ends on May 31st. Meteorologists primarily use this definition and simplifies the seasonal calendar, allowing for easier analysis and comparison of weather data. It helps track temperature trends, precipitation patterns, and other meteorological factors characteristic of the spring season.

Spring tends to be rainy because of a combination of factors. As temperatures rise, the air holds more moisture. Additionally, the clash between warm and cold air masses leads to unstable weather patterns, resulting in those refreshing rain showers that nourish the earth and contribute to the vibrant growth of plants and blossoms.

So, embrace the rain boots and umbrellas, and enjoy the beauty that these spring showers bring!

Water Tight
We channelled the eavestrough runoff into three huge, interconnected rain barrels.

It’s a good time to start collecting water this rainy season is also the perfect time to collect water to reuse later: outdoors, consider installing a rainwater harvesting system to store rainwater for various household uses. Inside, place a bucket in your shower to collect excess water while it warms up. This water can be used for tasks like watering plants or cleaning.
